Timber Forum and a Pasty!

On a cold Tuesday evening the Bond Timber team hosted their first ever Timber Forum. In conjunction with Arch Chemical Protection, the leading supplier of timber protection products in the UK, local fencing contractors and farmers were invited to a presentation, demonstration and pasty supper. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session with many of the 50 guests raising interesting and valid points regarding the past and present ways of treating timber.

Plant Hire Fleet Stats!

When choosing a hire company wouldn’t it be great to know just how much of what you are hiring actually belongs to that company. All hire companies will cross-hire (i.e. hire in from other hire companies) to ensure they keep their customers happy when a particular piece of equipment is not available from their own fleet. However, from the customers point of view this can surely only mean one thing – extra cost!! At W H Bond we invest heavily and monitor our fleet regularly to ensure cross-hiring is kept to a minimum and currently we only have 2 machines hired-in from elsewhere. The cost of our current fleet of machines is over £7 million and includes 80 excavators, 60 telehandlers, 40 dumpers and 20 rollers. Why not give us a try!!!

Are you worried about what treatment to use for fencing? If so, then please pop along to our treated timber forum.

At Bond Timber we have invested heavily in our timber treatment operations to provide the very best quality and choice of treated timber products for our customers. We therefore believe it would be a benefit to stage a forum with our timber protection partners, Arch, to listen to our customer concerns and try to give key information on preservative treated timber.

The event will be held at our Trerulefoot Branch on Tuesday 7th February 2012 from 7pm. There will be a pasty and hot drink available and if you can confirm you will be attending, we can prepare for numbers. Call the office on 01503 240 308.
